Our standard Mariner Brand Tarred twine is black in color and the tar treatment greatly improves the twines knot holding ability. Twines are uniformly coated and are slightly tacky to the touch. Also available in large knotless tubes. Most common uses: Mending, Hanging, and Repair. Tarred twines yield approximately 10-12% less footage. Approximate Feet per Pound: 700 Tensile Strength :240 lb.
